World number 2 Peter Gade had to withdraw from the upcoming Yonex Sunrise , because of his back injury. The Dane expressed his frustration on his Facebook page:

For the past 3 weeks, things have been moving in the right direction and I hoped I would be able to enter Hong Kong Open next week. But this sunday, I had a setback. The situation with my back is too unstable and I will not be able to play at my highest level. Because of that I decided to withdraw from Hong Kong Open. This is really frustrating as I’ve missed 3 out of 4 tournaments in the past month. My back need the space and time to recover day by day and I really need to be in top form at the Super Series Finals in january and Korea Open” he wrote

That leaves Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan as the clear favourites for the event in the absence of  Peter Gade.  Henri Hurskainen of Sweden will probably be promoted to the main draw from qualifying and take Gade’s spot in the lower half of the draw.

Draws here (not updated with Gade’s withdrawal)
