The Wilson may have lost its Super Series status, but it has provided the Swiss spectators with some great matches since day one of the competition. And upsets as well, with top seeds already out in the men’s doubles and men’s singles events. Jan Jorgensen went down to Malaysian veteran Wong Choong Hann, while All England winners Boe and Mogensen bit the dust to Dutch shuttlers Ridder/Bosch, 19-21 in the decider. Korea’s top two pairs will be eyeing all-Korean affairs in four of the five finals, the mostly likely of these being Lee/Jung and Ko/Yoo, who are in opposite men’s doubles semi-finals. Koreans could also scoop both silver and gold in the men’s singles, with Park Sung Hwan and Lee Hyun Il still in as well as in the women’s singles with Sung and Bae in the semis.  With two pairs still in the women’s doubles draw and one in the mixed – Lee Yong Dae and Ha Jung Eun, the Koreans could make a clean sweep in Basel.

Here is the semi-finals line up:

MS : Park Sung Hwan (KOR) vs. Wong Choong Hann (MAS)
Lee Hyun Il (KOR) vs. Simon Santoso (INA)

WS: Sung Ji Hyun (KOR) vs. Juliane Schenk (GER)
Bae Youn Joo (KOR) vs. Saina Nehwal (IND)

MD : Chandra/Gunawan (INA) vs. Lee/Jung (KOR)
Ko/Yoo (KOR) vs. Fang/Lee (TPE)

WD: Pedersen/Rytter-Juhl (DEN) vs. Kim/Ha (KOR)
