After suffering a 1-4 defeat against the States on Tuesday, Netherlands patted their shoulders and stood up to face Singapore today. Unfortunately, it was yet another defeat of the same score for the Dutch, allowing Singapore to top the second division in group 2 before they fight for the 13th/14th placing in the play-offs tomorrow.

Hong Kong, who was treated to a 4-1 victory against Ukraine on Monday, enjoyed another satisfying meal this afternoon with their 3-2 success defeating Poland. As for Ukraine, they went down 1-4 to France, winning in the men’s singles match again, this time with Dmytro Zavadsky steamrolling pass France’s Brice Leverdez who had won all three of their previous meetings.

While in group 4’s tie, Israel defeated Seychelles lslands 5-0, ending the island republic’s tour with the fourth 0-5 score on their results sheet.  On the other hand, Philippines got the better of Iceland after a soul-stirring deciding match, ending 3-2 on the Philippines’ side.
