Korean player Shin Baek Cheol, gold medallist at the last Asian Games in mixed doubles, had to withdraw from his men’s doubles match – where he was to partner Kim Ki Jung against defending champions Mathias Boe / Carsten Mogensen of Denmark- due to a lower back injury, which was aggravated during his mixed doubles match yesterday evening. However, Kim Ji Hyun, the single’s coach , assured Badzine, Shin Baek Cheol will definitely be back next month during the asian tour in China and Hong Kong.

China’s Pan Pan and Cheng Shu also withdrew from their match against compatriots Zhao Yunlei and Tian Qing.
