According to the first world list published this week by the , Europe and Asia are quite close – much closer than their elder compatriots.

After Viktor Axelsen had been the first European to ever win a Gold medal at a World Juniors championship’s men’s singles event in 2010, the old continent seems to be catching up on the Asian countries :

In the top 10 rankings of the 5 disciplines of the sport, the Europeans have scooped 24 spots, with the Asians edging out with 26 spots.
