Jenny Wallwork’s new partnership with Andrew Ellis couldn’t start off on a better note as the new duo scooped the Polish Open Mixed double title today in Lubin. Nathan Robertson’s former partner on court  – she still is off court – wa not seeded for the event but apart from a game dropped in the semi final, it was a smooth ride for her and Ellis with a clean sweep in the final against top seeds from Poland, Wojciech SZKUDLARCZYK and Agnieszka WOJTKOWSKA, 21-13, 21-12

The Polish players did get a taste of Gold separately in the men’s doubles and women’s doubles with Moren and Augustyn respectively, but the singles went to British athletes – Scotland’s Merilees in the men’s singles (he beat England’s Toby Penty) and to Gilmour who gave Scotland another victory over England in the name of Riou Panuga in the women’s singles.
