Kashyap Parupalli scooped his first title in the All Indian Championships  on Thursday after beating Ajay Jayaram in straight games. The main surprise came in the women’s singles where the new jewel of India badminton PV Sindhu did not secure the expected title, beaten by the reigning champion Sayali Gokhale. Saina Nehwal was not participating.
