The 2013 Victor Premier has mercifully been spared a large number of withdrawals, with the exception of the men’s singles draw, which lost such big names as Taufik Hidayat, #8 seed Sho Sasaki, and French Open winner Liew Daren, and Ajay Jayaram.  Even the qualifying rounds showed the notable loss of Korea Grand Prix Gold runner-up Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk of Thailand, along with Malaysia’s Zulfadli Zulkiffli. The only other withdrawals came with the absence of Woon Khe Wei from both women’s and mixed doubles.
