The International Olympic Committee () communicated on Tuesday, February 12th the list of the 25 sports that they will propose to stay in the program for the 2020 Games.  Badminton is within among sports, which means the sport should be featured in 2020. The sport that was dropped was wrestling – a surprise for the specialists who had banked on it being modern pentathlon. Wrestling, however, will have the chance to be put back in the program as there is one spot left to be included in the program. Other sports vying this last spot are baseball/softball, karate, roller sports, sport climbing, squash, wakeboarding and wushu.
