The draw of the Li-Ning was published today. The event – a regular played right after the Djarum Indonesia Open Premier, will once again attract top stars, including China’s Lin Dan, who has skipped the event a few times.  The last time Lin came to Singapore, he withdrew from the final. This time, he will be playing Nguyen Tien Minh in his first round match. Du Pengyu is seeded first and will take on Pawar from India.

Wang Shixian will take on Bae Yeon Ju in a difficult first round while local Gu Juan will play Second seed Saina Nehwal in the opening round as well. In the men’s doubles, Lee Yong Dae and Ko Sung Hyun have a very tough first round against Hong/Wei while Goh/Lim will face Setiawan/Ahsan.

The only Singapore players ever to win the event, 2010 champions Shinta Mulia Sari and Yao Lei, are both playing with new partners and both must play the qualifying rounds, where Shinta and new partner Fu Mingtian will go against Olympic silver medallist Reika Kakiiwa and her new partner Miyuki Maeda.
