Thai shuttler Maneepong Jongjit is entered in the Yonex French Open Superseries next month, wasting no time in getting back into action following his suspension for verbal abuse and unsportsmanlike conduct at the Canada Open in July.  In early August, the BWF’s Disciplinary Committee gave Jongjit a 3-month ban, dated from the day of the incident, wherein he and Canada Open men’s doubles final opponent Bodin Issara engaged in a shouting match that eventually erupted into a physical attack by Isara.

Jongjit’s ban will end on October 21st, the day before the French Open begins.  Jongjit will resume his men’s doubles partnership with Nipitphon Puangpuapech and mixed doubles with Sapsiree Taerattanachai.  Issara, who was found guilty under two more sections of the BWF Players’ Code of Conduct than Jongjit, is serving a much longer ban, of two years.
