While Carolina Marin was celebrating her first Grand Prix Gold victory in London, her compatriot Beatriz Corrales was doing exactly the same at the other side of Europe, in Sofia at the Bulgarian International. The Spanish woman beat top seed and local hope Petya Nedelcheva 21-19, 21-14 to clinch the victory.

Denmark’s Emil Holst took the men’s singles crown, while the doubles went to different nations: Scotland for the mixed with Blair/Bankier, Poland for the men’s doubles with Moren/Skudlarczyk and Bulgaria with the Stoeva sisters in the women’s doubles event.
