Twenty years after his accession to the top position of what today constitutes the best national badminton team in the world, Li Yongbo told Sports.Sina.com, in an interview, that one of his lifetime dreams is to reach the number of 100 major titles as a .  The former doubles player, who became the head of the Chinese National Badminton Team in 1993, further explained that he has already grabbed 74 of them.

Indeed, under Li Yongbo’s 20 first years of reign, the Chinese national team won 37 World Championship titles, 9 Sudirman Cups, 5 Thomas Cups, 7 Uber Cups and 16 Olympic gold medals. This means the man’s next challenge will be to win 26 more major titles as a head coach in the 9 remaining years of his contract.
