Team Skælskør-Slagelse (TSS) made it to the final of the Danish league yesterday in a suspenseful semi-final against Solrød Strand, the former home of HK Vittinghus, now top player of TSS. The Dane was the hero of the night as he delivered the last point to make it a 4-3 final win in the golden set, after unexpectedly losing his first men’s singles to Emil Holst and saving 3 match points in the golden set.

“It ended 3-3 though and a Golden Set was needed, but I have so much respect for how they handled the situation and I’m just so happy I could give them a very hard-earned win in the Golden Set. I don’t know how I managed to win that one in the end after being 20-17 down, but I can safely say it was one of the most tense moments in my career playing those last few rallies. We are in the final for the 6th year in a row – how cool is that TSS uzzzzzz!” said HK Vittinghus on his Facebook page.

The other semi-final will feature Skovshoved against Greve on March 25th as the final of the league will be played on April 15th – a day after the final of the Singapore Superseries, which could have a clear effect on either team as both have top players involved in the Danish squad.
