Former Swiss national Jeanine Cicognini is back. After two years away from the courts in international competition, Cicognini, now travelling with an Italian passport, won Cuba’s Giraldilla International this weekend in Havana. Unseeded for the event, she beat Belgium’s Marie Demy in straight games to clinch her first title under her new flag. Jan Frohlich beat Bjorn Seguin in the men’s singles while mixed and doubles were scooped by players from Guatemala, Cuba and Peru.
