According to the magazine Titan, in a survey that was published in English by the online webzine 10sball, the second-highest earner in China in 2013 is badminton player Lin Dan with an estimated 30 million yuan (about $5 million), just behind tennis star Li Na, who was estimated as earning 124.5 million yuan ($20 million) last year. Swimmer Yang Sun was third with 22 million yuan (approx. $3.5 million).

This comes as half a surprise as Lin Dan spent more time working outside court, endorsing brands, because he did not compete in many tournaments in the year.
