While the big guns were fighting in Odense for the World Superseries Denmark Open, other players were eyeing less prestigious titles further down south.  In Yverdon, for example, the Swiss International – which had opted for a first technological feature with all courts live streamed – also featured some hotly contested finals. Malaysia got the best day with Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong scooping the title in men’s doubles, edging England’s Briggs and Wolfenden. In addition, Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin scooped the men’s singles event, beating Ville Lang in the final.

One of the biggest surprises came with the victory in the mixed of scratch pair Robert Blair and Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth who played all top Thai pairs to win the title in Switzerland. The women’s singles was won by Nitchaon Jindapon against Olga Konon and the women’s doubles by top seeds Iris Tabeling and Samantha Barning.
