The French Badminton Federation (FFBad) announced today that Performance Director Peter Gade and Jesper Hovgaard will be leaving the French national team programme following the European Badminton Championships next spring.

National Technical Director Philippe Limouzin called it a  mutual decision geared toward developing for France an organization focussed on 2024 as the key objective.  The end of the cooperation between the FFBad and the two Danes will take effect on May 1st, 2018, following the European Badminton Championships in Huelva, Spain.

“I must thank Peter et Jesper for the excellence of the work they have accomplished over these three years.  Their rigour and their professionnalism has helped us grow will leave its mark in the structure of high level French badminton,” Limouzin was quoted in an FFBad press release as saying.

The press release quotes Peter Gade as pointing to the challenge in dividing time equally between Paris and Copenhagen and he said, “This has been a very interesting experience for Jesper and me.  For the past three years, we have attempted to develop a badminton culture to build a promising future.  I will continue to do my maximum to accompany the players in their quest for results right up until my departure.”
