During a breakfast hosted by Badminton England to their VIP Members, Peter Gade, invited as a special guest, hinted that there were discussions going on about giving a again for the in Copenhagen this summer.

Lin Dan was given a wild card by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) in his home World Championships in Guangzhou in 2013 after he failed to qualify on merit because he didn’t have enough points. As the Chinese star is still not competing, he will not meet the requirements to enter the World Championships this summer thanks to his world ranking points. It will then be the BWF’s decision on whether to use their wild card and on whom.

We’d like your opinion on giving Lin Dan another wild card for the 2014 Worlds.  Please cast your vote here and feel free to explain your decision in the comment section below.
