is currently undergoing chemotherapy after an operation to remove a tumour but has announced his will to still participate in the upcoming French and Denmark Opens in spite of the fatigue usually felt by patients.

I am just in the middle of first cycle of chemotherapy, ending on Sunday. I deal with it quite well. Not the best feelings but it is not too bad at this point. If everything goes well my plan is to come to Denmark and French Super Series because now I will have two weeks break before the next therapy. And I would love to change place, and do something different. Not sure if I will be able to play but I want to try at least. And most importantly I want to stay “in the game”, meet friends and get some positive energy,” said the courageous Czech.

Needless to say that, even if he is not playing 100%, the whole badminton caravan will be admiring Petr’s fighting spirit and encouraging his come-back.
